Small Developer Boot Camps

Our Small Developer Boot Camps build on the foundational training from the Workshops. The Boot Camp is an opportunity for participants to bring an actual project in front of seasoned small developers. In small groups, participants work through exercises like digesting their zoning code, drawing a basic site plan, creating a financial pro forma model, and creating a pitch package for investors, all applied to their own specific project.

WHO ARE THE BOOT CAMPS FOR?

Individuals with an actual small development project in mind (whether they control a site or are looking for one) who want to connect to a network of development professionals and work through their ideas with experienced small developers.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE BOOT CAMPS?

There are three modules, each with presentations and a practicum:

  • Basic site plan drawing, incorporating zoning parameters

  • In-depth financial pro forma spreadsheet work to determine the income and expenses of a development

  • Compiling a presentation package for lenders/investors with appropriate information to make a compelling pitch

In addition to the classroom-style learning, Boot Camps feature:

  • Networking opportunities and small group breakout sessions to share information between attendees

  • Q&A with experienced small developers
