Led by our diverse faculty, they’ll offer expertise drawn from real-life experiences. Selling a code Repair

Presented by Ivy Vann

The Problem: People fear that fixing zoning codes will transform their neighborhood overnight.

The Solution: Learn how to explain what code repairs actually do.

This session walks through the practical steps to explain how simple code repairs interact with your existing built environment. Spoiler: just because you change the code to allow a thing doesn't mean that thing is going to spring up everywhere!

Discover how to:

  • Communicate realistic outcomes of code changes

  • Address community concerns with confidence

  • Move zoning reform forward in your town

Whether you're a planner, advocate, or local leader, these tools will help you overcome the most common objection to better zoning.
