Investment Crowdfunding for Complex Capital Stacks
Presented by Rich Rogers
Many developers assume complex real estate projects require traditional bank financing or institutional investors. But investment crowdfunding proves that capital stacks can be assembled differently — filling gaps that conventional lenders won't touch while engaging a broader community of investors.
Rich Rogers will share how crowdfunding platforms enable both for-profit and mission-driven developers to secure funding for challenging project phases, from early-stage predevelopment through stabilized asset liquidity. They will demonstrate how this financing approach complements traditional sources rather than replacing them, creating flexible solutions for today's difficult lending environment.
In this session, you will discover how crowdfunding offerings can address specific capital needs— including unconventional approaches like monetizing tax credits. Learn practical strategies for structuring your first offering, understanding transactional costs versus traditional financing, and navigating the regulatory landscape to unlock funding that makes your project pencil.
